The IRS released Notice 2020-76 that extends the due date for employers, insurers, and other providers for furnishing forms 1095-B and 1095-C to employees. The notice extends the due date from January 31, 2021 to March 2, 2021. The IRS feels this a generous extension and will not be granting any 30-day extensions past March 2, 2021. Employers are encouraged to send forms to employees as soon as possible. This notice does NOT extend the due date for employers filing forms 1094-B, 1095-B, 1094-C or 1095-C with the IRS.
